Pendle Pub Walk Is Back

29 Feb 2012

The Rotary Club of Burnley Pendleside's fourth annual Pendle Pub Walk is now online and ready to register this year's walkers to raise funds for Pendleside Hospice

The organisers are inviting would-be walkers to sign up for a free account, enabling registration of an individual, or a whole group of friends/family. Sponsor forms are downloadable instantly! Alternatively, you can download a registration leaflet or pick one up from Pendleside Hospice. The money walkers raise will support the work of our brilliant Pendleside Hospice, the nominated charity again this year.

PPW Grahame (pictured), one of the event organisers, said: "We have some great offers for this year's walkers. For a start, early registration enters you into a free prize draw to win meal vouchers from some of the pubs involved with PPW 2012."

He added: "Our local pubs are getting into the spirit of things by making other great offers for registered walkers - so far these include half-priced beer at the start; and en route, bacon butties, barbecues, buffets, nibbles... there's going to be no shortage of food. And if it's not free, it will be at a specially reduced price. At the finish, The Sparrowhawk is providing free pie & peas for registered walkers and live entertainment."

Then using the rallying cry for this year's fund-raisers, he finished with, "Hands in, Pendle Pub Walkers...... LET'S GO!"
