PPW organisers have this week announced that an acclaimed local artist is supporting their fund-raising efforts by rewarding the charity walker who raises the most sponsorship money with a unique signed print of his work
The stunning artwork by Keith Melling - a very modern take on the famed view of Pendle Hill - will be presented to the walker who raises the most funds in this year's Pendle Pub Walk.
Keith Melling's work is highly sought after and frequently depicts the stunning Pendle scenery that Pendle Pub Walk takes in on its 10 mile route.
Keith, who operates from his gallery in Fence, has been exhibiting his work since 1966 and over the year's he's helped raise tens of thousands of pounds for Pendleside Hospice - the charity that is being supported by Pendle Pub Walk.
Speaking about the event, Keith said: "I'm proud to be a sponsor of Pendle Pub Walk - it's a tremendous event which is enjoyed by hundreds of local people. I'm really happy to donate a print to the walker who raises the most sponsorship money - I hope it brings an element of friendly competition that benefits Pendleside Hospice."
PPW Grahame, one of the organisers of the event, said: "We're delighted Keith is supporting the efforts of Pendle Pub Walk and we're really grateful that he's generously donated a unique signed print depicting Pendle Hill in such a stunning fashion."
