It rained. And when it rained it poured. But a bit of rain doesn't stop Pendle Pub Walkers! The 2012 event was rip-roaringly good fun. And walkers smashed the previous fund-raising records.

Again, the walk was 12 miles, and again the pubs were great. The highlights for food being The White Swan, Bay Horse and The Four Alls Inn, raising extra funds for Pendleside Hospice by selling bacon-butties, a barbecue and a hog-roast, respectively. Then many thanks to The Sparrowhawk for free pie, peas and entertainment for the walkers when they finished.

Leading up to the event, PPW teamed up with Moorhouses brewery again, and the real-ale specialists made a special brew which was served in all 8 pubs on the day. There was a competition to name the beer again which was won by Mike Henney with the witch-hanging-related name "The Last Drop"! There was also a prize draw for early registrations, and 6 walkers won dine-out vouchers for meals at pubs involved with Pendle Pub Walk.

Also, leading up to the event and on the morning of the event, had a raffle which raised more money for Pendleside Hospice. The prize was a furkin (72 pints) of Moorhouse's beer that was won by Helen Horne.

Then after the event, the engraved tankard and another dine-out voucher were won by Nick Hope for raising the most sponsorship - an amazing £1000!
